Police, Fire, and First Responder Trading Cards

Officer cards for National Night Out, K-9 cards kids ask for by name, a set for the fire department's open house. Department colors and seal on the front, a bio and a safety tip on the back.

Foil-sealed custom trading card pack, the format departments hand out at community events

Why departments hand out trading cards

Police trading cards are one of the oldest community policing tools and still one of the best. A kid who collects a card for Officer Rivera will go looking for Officer Rivera at the next event. Fire and EMS departments use them the same way at open houses and school visits, and the K-9 unit's card is always the one that runs out first.

We make them for municipalities the way we make them for leagues. The department sends a roster and photos, or each officer uploads their own through a form link. You pick colors and send the seal. We lay out, proof, print, and sort. Cards arrive in stacks per officer for handing out, or in sealed packs for giveaways.

Cards are standard 2.5 by 3.5 inches on 16pt gloss stock, printed in the USA. Custom projects are invoiced with a secure online payment link so the purchase can go through the department's normal process. Other municipal uses are covered in the overview of custom trading cards for organizations.

Cards departments order

Officer cards

Name, rank, unit, and years of service on the front. Hometown, why they became an officer, and a safety tip on the back.

K-9 and mounted unit cards

Always the most requested card at any event. Dog or horse, handler, breed, and specialty, with a photo kids will want to keep.

Firefighter and EMS cards

Station, apparatus, years of service, and a home fire safety tip. Popular at open houses and school visits.

Command staff and dispatch

The chief, deputy chiefs, and the dispatchers residents never get to meet. A full set makes the department feel like a team.

Community event packs

Sealed packs for National Night Out, fairs, parades, and school visits. One of each officer, or random assortments that get kids trading.

Any municipal department

Parks and recreation, public works, the library, lifeguards. If residents interact with your staff, a card introduces them.

What we can do

Custom templates

Front and back layouts designed from scratch to your brand guidelines, or one of our designs adapted with your colors, logo, and fields.

Custom development

When a project needs more than a template: cards generated from your database or spreadsheet, custom fields, photo collection forms under your own branding, and integrations with your systems.

Bulk data import

Names, titles, stats, and photos imported directly from your spreadsheets or systems and rendered automatically. Nobody re-types a roster of 500 people.

Sealed packs and labels

Foil heat-sealed or glassine packs with 1 to 25 cards each, sorted to your spec and sealed in-house, with UV gloss labels in your branding.

Proofing and QA

Every card is proofed before printing, and every printed card is inspected for print quality, surface, edges, trim alignment, and gloss coat.

Production and shipping

Printed in the USA on thick gloss cardstock, with rush options when the calendar is tight. Finished cards ship to you, your venue, or multiple locations.

What goes on the back

The back is where a card becomes a conversation. Departments usually combine two or three of these:

  • Bio. Hometown, years of service, assignments, why they joined, favorite part of the job.
  • Safety tip. One clear message per card: wear a helmet, know your address, never hide from firefighters, how to call 911.
  • Department info. Non-emergency number, station address, social accounts, a note from the chief.
  • Sponsor. A local business logo and thank-you, which often covers the cost of the run.

How a department project works

1. Tell us about the project

Who the cards are for, roughly how many, what goes on the front and back, and your date. We will respond within one business day.

2. Design and data

We adapt a template or design yours, then import your names, titles, and photos. You see proofs before anything is printed.

3. Print, inspect, pack

Cards are printed, inspected one by one, then sorted into stacks or sealed packs with your labels.

4. Ship

Finished cards ship to your office, your venue, or several locations at once.

Frequently asked questions

Share one form link with the department. Each officer uploads a photo and fills in their fields from a phone in a few minutes, on any shift. Submissions land in the project for review before anything prints. If you already have portrait photos, send a folder and a roster spreadsheet instead and we match them.

Yes. Send the seal or patch artwork and your colors, and we design the front and back around them. Departments with several divisions can share one layout with a different color or crest per division.

It depends on how many events you cover. As a reference point, 30 officers with 100 copies each is 3,000 cards. We will help you size the first run, and because the layouts are saved, reprinting one officer’s card or adding a new hire later is straightforward.

Custom projects are invoiced, with a secure online payment link, so the purchase can go through your normal process. If your purchasing office needs a W-9 or vendor forms, mention it in your inquiry and we will send them with the quote.

Yes. Foil heat-sealed or glassine packs with 1 to 25 cards each, sorted the way you want and sealed in-house, with a UV gloss label carrying the department seal. Packs are easier to hand out at a busy event than loose cards.

Printing takes 4 to 5 business days plus shipping. Collecting photos and bios is usually the slow part, so start the form a month before the event if you can. Rush options exist when the date is close.

Yes. The back can carry a safety message (bike helmets, 911, fire escape plans), the non-emergency number, a sponsor logo, or a short message from the chief. Text is per card, so each officer can have their own tip.
