We've been busy shipping updates and improvements over the last two weeks. We've added a new back of card layout type, added digital downloads in addition to printed cards, and we provide a fallback when parents or players still haven't filled out their information when it's time to place your order.
Table Back Layout
Cards now support a table back layout option. This layout presents real player stats in a structured table format on the back of the card, just like a real professional-level card would. This is ideal for competitive travel, high school and college level teams that track actual game and player statistics.
You can select the table layout when editing any player card in your project. The layout adapts to however many rows and columns you've added.
You can also combine the Table layout with our other layout types (Stats, Custom Text, Roster) to create complex layouts.
Digital Downloads
We've added the ability to purchase high-resolution, production-ready digital copies of your cards instead of placing a print order from our printing partner. We've already seen customers use their digital copies to order from a local print shop and have their cards in hand the very next day.
We're happy to be able to offer this as an option to teams outside of the United States, since shipping internationally takes a lot of time and money. It makes a lot more sense to work with a print shop in your country, plus it's always nice to be able to support a local small business.
Our digital downloads are production-ready PDFs of each card, front and back. They are CMYK formatted and include a 0.125" bleed, and cut marks. We also include instructions you can pass along to your printer to ensure you get the best end result.
Sports Facts as Backup Data
Sometimes, player forms aren't opened or completed before you need to place your order. When players don't fill out their information, cards previously showed empty fields. Now, cards can automatically show a random sports fact relevant to your selected sport, so that these players with photos but no stats don't end up with an empty card back.
This option is available on card designs that don't already include a "Did You Know?" section. You can enable or disable it in your project settings.
